The Underground for Youth
WEMO YOUTH. The Underground is a place of gathering for youth from across the city. It’s also a tag name for a wide range of youth ministries of WEMO. Guided by Youth Pastor Gerogia O’Connor and her sidekick/husband Gale O’Connor, The Underground and youth of WEMO welcome you.
WEEKLY GATHERING. The Underground at 1062 S. Pershing is open each Wednesday evening from 6:15 to 8:00 pm. Pool tables, foosball, ping-pong, table games, good food, live band, and discussion is part of the evening. All 7-12 welcome.
SUNDAY AM. Youth also meet weekly on Sundays @ 9:30 am for spiritual growth in The Lower Level.
SMALL GROUPS. Small groups meet weekly for accountability and personal growth.
ACTIVITIES & SERVICE. WEMO youth participate in an annual summer mission trip, International Youth Conferences, summer camps, retreats, and seasonal activities like skating, tubing, and skiing. WEMO Youth also serve homeless neighbors and engage in service projects throughout the year.
BIBLE QUIZZING. Youth Bible Quizzing meets on Sundays at 4:30 pm in The Lower Level. This focuses intensively on one book of the Bible each year and involves competetion at Conference, Regional, and National levels.
